Hardware-Zusammenarbeit

Ich habe auf Arbeit neue Rechner die ich mit Solaris bestücken will. Da die Rechner kein internes DVD-Laufwerk haben wollte ich per Netzboot das ganze machen - aber Solaris will das irgendwie nicht. Für Solaris-Menschen: ein gunzip auf x86.miniroot tut, ein lofiadm -a tut auch, aber das ganze mit ufs zu mounten schlägt fehl; das heisst da ist irgendwas falsch. Auch wenn die md5summe des DVD-Images stimmt.

Nun ja, es gibt ja noch andere Wege. Die Kollegen der Windows-Abteilung haben mir ein DVD-Laufwerk von HP gegeben, was sich per usb anschließen lässt. Nun installiert die SUN-Maschine ihr Betriebssystem mit einem HP-DVD-Laufwerk ;-)
